I watched them fall like rain
I watched them fall like rain
I watched them fall like rain
I watched them fall like rain
Something had to give
Something had to go
Though we'd held on, we'd held on
Some of us were saved
Some of us would fall
Though we'd held on, for so long
We dreamed a safe return
Allowed our hearts to burn
But how could we hope that our Hell would be gone
It had clearly defined our existence for so long
I watched them fall like rain
I watched them fall like rain

Marillion's catalogue was represented by excerpts of instrumental sections where Steve had his solo spot. This is a milestone in the forming of a great band that later became the spokesman of early Marillion era and of course of Steve's solo material. If you want to hear how it all started you have to get this Alessandro Carmassi
Subdued and elegiac songs from Tom Kelly that have the grandeur of classical music, the technicality of prog, and the sweep of synthwave. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 6, 2020
